Volga 21 RCM: This one’s based on a BMW M3!

I’m sure most of you remember the customized Volga Coupe and Cabrios based on the BMW 850i and 650Ci Cabriolet respectively. Turns out though that the Russian love affair between Volga’s and BMW’s has been running on quite a few years as this customized Volga 21 RCM proves. Manufactured in 1997 by El Motors, the retro-fashioned 21 CPM is based on a 1994 E36 BMW M3 powered by the first gen 286Hp strong 6-cylinder 3.2. I don’t know about you but it would really make me feel better if I knew that the donor car was messed up to the point of no return… -Continued: Click “Read More…” below to see more pictures & specs

Ferrari F1... inspired Chopper!

What is das? Don’t tell me that Paul Teutul Sr. of OCC suddenly became a Schumacher fan and started drinking
Pinot Grigio from bohemian crystal glasses? For the love of bling-bling, we certainly hope not. While we didn’t manage to find out who built this one of a kind chopper which is powered by a 140Hp strong Triumpg 955 engine, we learned that it went on sale on e-bay a couple of months ago for 18.000 USD (14.000 Euros). Volvo+Lotus=Votus!

Thanks to our anonymous tipster, we discovered this hand-made Lotus 7 wanna-be. According to its owners, the Votus is a Volvo powered and Lotus inspired (hence the name…) Lotus 7 replica, which they started building in 2004. The car is powered by an early 70's Volvo 4cyl 2-litre engine which I gather they found for free since these guys are getting directions from Ron Champion's book “Build Your Own Sports Car for as Little as £250 - And Race It!” . Don’t you just love young entrepreneurs? Via: "Tipster" & Votus

"ULTIMUS" 1959 Chevy El Camino – Custom made concept!

We’re not sure if our “loverino” pals over at Jalopnik have seen this before, but I’d bet an arm and a leg that they'd praise this one-off El-Camino like a "Jalop-God"! Believe it or not, this super-duper EL Camino concept you’re seeing in these pics was created by a passionate guy called Tom HOLDEN somewhere in the early 60’s. From what we gather, Mr.Holden took a stock 1959 Chevrolet El Camino and in 12 months he turned it into a stunning concept that he named “Ultimus”. Now don’t tell me that this magnificent display of what a passionate man can do with a bit of imagination, couldn’t easily put the famous Batmobile to shame…-Continued: Click “Read More…” below to see the rest of the article plus more high-res images

Notice all the space-cool details like the split seat base, the dashboard-mounted TV-Screen and the center armrest that contains a telephone, a tape recorder and a… mini bar-complete with glass, shaker and several brands of liquor! Even more interesting is the fact that the car was actually used by Mr. Holden! We have no idea where the "ULTIMUS" 1959 Chevy El Camino is located toady, but we’d be more than happy to report on it if any of you guys know its whereabouts! Via: Jims59

DAMD: Mini Shot Suzuki want's to be an Escalade

Winding Road said it best when it referred to the Suzuki Every Wagon as a “shrunken version of the Caddy Escalade”. They drew an even wittier connection with the one hit wonder “I Wish” by shorty pants rapper Skee-Lo. We have to give some props for thinking to bring up this poor little self hating rapper that “wanted to be a little bit taller.” -Continued: Click “Read More…” below

We also give props to the Suzuki “wanna be” Caddy Escalade even though it looks a bit “twilight zonish”. The DAMD Concept B Type 1 Every DA64W (what gorgeous name!) sports the insertion of a Caddy-style grille, chromed nine-spoke wheels and additional running-board style side garnishes and an abbreviated rear bumper cap. There a serious effort in preserving the “slade-esque” in the design. All in all, thumbs up for the little Suzuki that could. You’ve got a long way to go, but you’re off to a respectable start. Damn this looks like one hell of an idea, why didn’t I think of it? Well, actually, even if I did, I don’t think that I’d have enough dough to start an operation like this but anyway.
