Top Gear has been on its typical break which is used for filming, and writing up their array ofnon-scripted jokes, but now they are coming back, with an announcement trailer for the 20th season, which premieres next Sunday, on June 30, as usual, on BBC2.The crew has been places and done a fair few things with which they hope to keep us entertained for the (short) duration of the season. We’re going to see the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, the electric Mercedes-Benz SLSand the Toyota Auris among others, as well as a limo drifting around a track – that always sounds like fun, especially considering that the likelihood of breaking in half is particularly high with these overly-stretched town cars. Wrapping it up, the 20th season of TG is going to be more of the same, entertaining the hordes of fans they’ve acquired from around the world, but perhaps beginning to neglect the actual car guys who made up their show popular in the first place. Hopefully, it will be more about cars, and less about Jeremy Clarkson’s opinion on carrying babies in the cargo hold of planes.
Here is a fantastic video from Top Gear pitting BMW 760li against the Mercedes S63 AMG, in truth both are very performance dramatic limousines, and this video is very nicely done. You may already have seen it before if not Enjoy!
This is what you get when you combine a budget larger than life and the imaginative creativity of an immature group of men. Damn we feel jealous of those folks over at Top Gear... Once again, they managed to outdo themselves by strapping a 3wheeler Reliant Robin on a self-made space-shuttle complete with an external fuel tank and solid rocket boosters. Their goal was simple: send the remote controlled car-space-shuttle (seems they learned their lesson with Hammond’s accident) straight into heaven and back. We won’t spoil all the fun by telling you what happened but if you’re one of those impatient types, jump a few scenes till the counter on your left says 2.30 sec remaining.Via: Autoblog.com & Top Gear
