Window Tints Saved The iPad

The best way to prevent car burglary is never to leave anything valuable in your car. The Driver of this M5 in Europe left his iPad in back seats and his car fell victim of a burglary attempt, luckily for the owner the theives efforts was curbed by his tinted windows making it impossible to the thieve to reach in the grab his iPad. So it seems that tinted windows does more then just keep your car cool. After the Jump for a few more pics.

Good Reasons to Have Your Car Windows Tinted by cwilson72180

Many people enjoy the dark and mysterious look of tinted windows. It makes you feel like you are riding in a limousine with a powerful celebrity. However, no one realizes there are many other benefits to having your car windows tinted.

Reduce the Heat
During the Summer months the sun comes glaring through your car windows and windshield and makes your car hot and uncomfortable to ride in. If you tint your car windows, you can reduce the heat from the sun and make it more enjoyable and cool to ride in your car.

Save Your Skin
Many people don't think that being in their car can cause danger from the sun. Although some car windows and windshields already do have UV protection, it is not enough to keep you safe from the harmful UV rays from the sun. You can either get your car windows tinted and save your skin from damage or you can wear sunscreen just to take a drive.

Makes The Glass Harder To Break
Not only can you protect yourself from the dangers of the sun while riding in your car but when you are parked somewhere, tinted windows can stop car thieves from breaking your windows and stealing your belongings or even your car. The reason for this is because tinted windows are harder to break. Even if they are broken there is still a layer of glass left behind. It is hardly doubtful that the thief will stick around the break the rest of the glass since they want to get in, steal and get out as fast as they can.

Reduce Sunshine Glare
Although we all love the sunshine shining down on us, it is hard to see when driving down the road and the sun gets in our eyes. Tinted windows can be helpful in reducing the glare from the sun and allow us to see better to drive. This makes driving not only easier but safer.

Privacy
By having tinted windows, you can add privacy from people wanting to look inside your car. This will stop people from trying to steal your personal belongings and even from those nosy neighbors just wanting to see what you have in your car.

Currency Motors Twin Turbocharged BMW M5 : 810Hp & 386 km/h - 240 mph!

As if 507Hp of the normally aspirated 5.0 V10 weren’t already enough, Currency Motor Cars went out and utterly pimped the M5 by adding twin-turbos and a custom, hand crafted inter-cooled system resulting in a mind blasting output of 810Hp. According to the California based company, this elegant beast can reach top speeds of 240 mph – 386 km/h! Seriously - how many drivers are capable of taming such a monster? And talking about monsters, Currency also added a whopping $100,000 in interior upgrades including hand stitched, fully aniline dyed, Florida Crocodile leather… Via: Jalopnik & M5board - Continued: Click “Read More…” below to see more pictures

Lumma-Design BMW CLR 500RS - A Clockwork Orange 560 Hp BMW M5

Albeit a bit too far fetched for my likes, I have to admit that Lumma-Design’s interpretation of the almighty BMW M5 is one bad ass car. The German based tuner gave the M5 a full bodykit that includes carbon-fibre roof, boot and hood, a rear diffuser and wider tracks that stack 21’’ rims in 255/30 front and 295/25 rear Yokohama tires. Lumma also cranked up the M5’s chassis and its 507Hp strong 5.0-liter V10 stock engine, which now promises to produce 560Hp. The CLR 500RS will be officially unveiled at the Geneva Show in March. BMW M5 Ute – Down Under Chop

We know a lot of you boyz out there will call this chop a blasphemy and you’ll probably be right. Still though, having lived the first years of my life in Australia -and while I might disagree with the choice of a modern classic like the BMW M5 E39, I understand what motivated this bloke from down under.

See, Australians just love big, brassy, V8 muscle cars. While Americans dropped out of the muscle car game in the mid 70’s, Australians kept going on and on, not only with coupes and 4door saloons but also with Utes and Panel Vans. Since the project’s not finished yet, we’ll keep an eye on this one and return with the final pics. Till then check out the photos and read what the owner has to say about it.

BMW M5 UTE OWNER: "I grew up in Australia for my first 20 years of my life and the "ute" had always been an Aussie icon to a boy from the bush, a way of life for many Australians. I've been lucky enough to have owned in the US one of the best sedans the automotive industry has ever produced in the BMW E39 M5.

I wanted to create a special combination of a cross over M5 ute concept not long after I purchased my M5 in Florida in 2000. This ute idea came to me many years ago when I looked at a picture I took of my M5 and thought that it would make a great ute....what was I thinking?

Years pass by, and I decide I needed to follow through with this concept a bit more. Five years pass and I find a very suitable donor car from a friend in Queeensland that probably had the finest 2003 M5 in Australia. He was happy to have his pride and joy "chopped up" for an undertaking of this magnitude. The car had many mods that I was going to put on a lesser car but he had done all the hard yards for me.

Trying to find a shop that had the skills for this sort of work was going to be difficult and time consuming, but in a flash I bumped in to Shane from Southern Rod and Custom in southern New South Wales Australia. His reputation in the hot rod game is held very highly. A quick visit to his work shop that was only one hour from my home as a boy. I could see in the 3 hours I spent with him that he was very capable to create my vision. Ryan from Stylemasters created the sketches you see here, that look great. The time line for a job like this is about 9 - 12 months. I'm looking forward to watching this world first get started and one day a finished product"
