Fearless Yacht by Porsche Design fitted with a 550Hp Dodge Viper V10 engine

We’ll totally agree with the chaps over at Gizmodo that the Fearless Yacht 28 makes a Porsche 911 look like a soulless “tonka truck”. This extremely sensuous, one-of-a-kind superboat which made its debut this week at the Miami Boat Show was designed by Porsche Design for Florida-based Fearless Yachts. Even though we’d find it more appropriate to see a Carrera GT V10 in this 28-foot-long high-speed cruiser, I’m pretty sure that the 550Hp Dodge Viper V10 motor won’t leave anyone begging for more power. Apart from the Fearless 28, the Californian boat-maker has also collaborated with Porsche Design for the Fearless 68, a luxury motor yacht. Rapom V8: Road legal drag-machine equipped with a 1.200Hp 8.2 V8 Mopar engine

And to think that there’re some people out there who believe that the Dodge Viper is absurd… Ha! Tipping the scale at 454 kg or 1.000 lb, the Rapom is equipped with a 8,2-litre supercharged Mopar V8 engine (tuned by ICE Racing) that runs on alcohol producing 1000 - 1200hp (depending on blower speed and fuel used). -Continued: Click "Read More..." below for more pics and info.

Although technically the Rapom is Road-legal (or… Road-lethal if you prefer), it is only used on the roads for a 10 mile journey back and forth to a local drag racing strip by its creator and owner, Nick Argyle. The builder tells us that the bike was spawned “from the unusual marriage of convenience and naivety”. See, after selling the chassis of his monster truck, Nick Argyle was searching for a much smaller project. He said: “I didn’t have the same workshop space I had when I built the truck. I only had the house garage so it had to be a bike. I was going to buy a new engine for the project but my wife told me to use the one that was still in a garage – a monster truck engine! Despite its size, I thought why not?’ I guess his neighbours must feel relieved that he didn’t have any Jumbo jets lying around his backyard…

Detroit Show: Snake’s out of the bag - New 600Hp 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10

Ah yes, the 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10, a car that "ignited" a few journalistic plugs today. So what’s so important here? Apart from the fact that it was supposed to be officially revealed in a couple of weeks, it gained an extra 90Hp thanks to its revised V10 engine.

More specifically, the V10 aluminum engine block was revised for a 1-millimeter larger bore, raising the displacement to 8.4 liters from 8.3 liters. It also breathes through new cylinder heads equipped with Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC)-shaped combustion chambers, larger valves and Variable Valve Timing (VVT). These changes raise output to 600 Hp. The 2008 Viper also gets a new transmission which is the latest evolution of the Tremec T56 six-speed manual, known as the TR6060. It features 10 percent wider gears for higher torque capacity and a new synchronizer package. A new shifter system results in reduced shifter travel.

According to Dodge, 0-60 mph comes in under 4 seconds and 0-100-0 mph in just over 12 seconds (braking in under 100 feet). Other changes include a new hood with a larger hood scoop for air induction and larger hood louvers, and new exterior and interior colors. Its official debut will be made at the 2007 Detroit Motor Show in January. Via: Jalopnik & Autoblog.com

Jaguar XJS with a 450HP V10 Dodge Viper engine!

I don’t know what the heck was going around this guy’s head when he decided to pack a 450 HP V10 Dodge Viper engine under a Jaguar XJS Spider’s hood but one’s for sure; this cat’s bite can definitely kill. Let’s just hope for his sake, that the owner reworked the suspension cause it wont be the competition that this car will kill… Via: Autoblog.it
