Engine
The 2013 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup's 3.8-liter engine is a naturally aspirated. Porsche has managed to squeeze and extra 10 horsepower from this engine, bringing the horsepower up to 460.
Drive power is delivered via the six-speed manual transmission from Porsche Motorsport. For the first time in a Porsche racing car, the gearshift is controlled by paddles mounted on the steering wheel.


Exterior
The new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup is instantly recognizable as a 911. The bonnet sweeps down to the grille, which is very low to the ground. The curving roof slopes down towards the rear, which is dominated by the huge spoiler. The twin exhausts outlets are mounted in the center.
Safety
The goal of the designers was to take driver safety to a new level. The driver cage is a totally new design that provides greater protection should the car be involved in a collision. The special racing seat is also newly designed, and is contoured to fit around the driver's head and shoulders. Adjustable padding makes the seat adaptable for any driver.

Improved traction is evident by using a larger tire size. The front tire width has been increased to 27 centimeters (10.6 inches), and the rear to 31 centimeters (12.2 inches.)
The designers have fine-tuned the 2013 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, and redesigned the axle geometry. The net result of the redesigns and improvements is that the car is much easier to handle at top speed and in challenging conditions.

Fearless Yacht by Porsche Design fitted with a 550Hp Dodge Viper V10 engine

We’ll totally agree with the chaps over at Gizmodo that the Fearless Yacht 28 makes a Porsche 911 look like a soulless “tonka truck”. This extremely sensuous, one-of-a-kind superboat which made its debut this week at the Miami Boat Show was designed by Porsche Design for Florida-based Fearless Yachts. Even though we’d find it more appropriate to see a Carrera GT V10 in this 28-foot-long high-speed cruiser, I’m pretty sure that the 550Hp Dodge Viper V10 motor won’t leave anyone begging for more power. 2009 Porsche Panamera on Car’s February cover – True or false?

Aside from the 2008 BMW M3, Car Magazines’ February issue also features a picture of Porsche’s 4door Panamera. To make things even more spicy, the chaps over at Car posted an alluring teaser article and a larger picture of the Panamera:

MitJet Series – Shrunken racing Bimmers, Vipers and Porsches!

When I first saw the pics I thought it was some kind of photoshop contests, but these miniature racers actually exist participating in a racing series called Mitjet. Unfortunately my French and Spanish are rustier than a 70’s Alfa so I couldn’t make much of the PDF file I found -the anglo-american flag button just won't work. Anyway, from what I was able to translate the Mitjet Racing Series was first introduced in France, gradually finding its way to Spain.

Contenders can choose between five different fiberglass bodies –BMW M6, Porsche 911, Dodge Viper, Renault Megane and Seat Leon. All cars are based on a tubular chassis using a Yamaha 1300 XJR engine that produces 150 Hp. Weighing about 610 kg, you can obtain them for a mere… 24.900 EUR –about 33.000 USD. 2009 Porsche Panamera - Scoop

Autobild is giving us its view on how the 2009 Panamera will look like through a couple of "chops" that are based on Porsche’s official sketch and various spy pics of the pre-production test car. With the exception of the humongous tail-lights, it looks quite nice if you ask me, but don't sketches -or chops always do...

Design aside, from what Porsche tells us, its new four-door Sports Coupé will enter the market in 2009 and it will be powered by various engines. Although they don’t give any specific information about the engine range it will surely include normally aspirated and turbo V8 engines. The power unit will be fitted at the front and will drive the rear wheels. Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking, the President and CEO of Porsche AG stated that Porsche will be developing and building the Panamera through the Company's own resources and expected sales are at least 20,000 units a year. 2008 Porsche Cayenne facelift – Official

Just as I thought I’d wrap things up for the day here at Carscoop, along came the first official pics and specs of Porsche’s long awaited 2008 Cayenne. That’s prior to its official debut in the Detroit Motor Show in January. Before we go into details, Porsche didn’t go all out but preferred to keep things simple and just do some fine-tuning.

However, they did fit the 2008 Cayenne with upgraded engines. Specifically, Porsche threw out the base 250 Hp 3.2 V6 motor and substituted it with VW Group’s new 290 Hp 3.6 V6 –same one as in the 2008 VW Touareg. Next up, the Cayenne S is now equipped with an upgraded version of the previous 340 Hp 4.5 V8, which has grown to 4,8 litres and produces 380 Hp and 500 Nm of torque (from 340 Hp & 420 Nm).

Last but not least, the top-spec Cayenne Turbo gets a power increase of 50 Hp & 80 Nm of torque, now producing 500 Hp and 700 Nm of torque. The latter does the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in 5,1 sec while reaching a top speed of 275 km/h (171 mph). This means that the new Cayenne Turbo is faster than the previous 520 Hp Cayenne Turbo S which needed 5,1 sec for the 0-100 km/h sprint and hit top speed of 270 km/h (168 mph).

As with the appearance, the most obvious changes are concentrated in the front end. The redesigned headlamps along with the new bumper that has larger intakes give the Cayenne a sleeker look. In addition, depending on the version, there are horizontal or vertical positioned side-lamps under the headlights. At the rear the 2008 Cayenne benefits from slightly redesigned tail-lights, a new bumper and a bigger rear window. Unfortunately, we haven’t got our hands on the interior pics yet, but we did find out that it’s basically left unchanged except for upgraded materials and new upholstery colours.

2008 Porsche Cayenne facelift: First official pic

Wow, that was fast. The Porsche Cayenne facelift scoop pics were only luke warm in the Carscoop archives when we discovered the first official teaser pic of the 2008 model on the Porsche website. Although it’s a bit dark and streaky we can distinguished the slightly revised “omelette” headlights and the redesigned bumper.

Scooped: 2008 Porsche Cayenne facelift

Porsche might have returned to its all time favourite round headlights on the Boxster and 911 models but that doesn’t seem to be the case with the facelift version of the Cayenne which is expected to go on sale in late 2007. From the looks of it, Porsche has retained the basic design of the “omelette” shaped front lights, moving the turning signals down on the bumper. As for the tail lights, it seems they’ve made some changes but we’ll have to wait for a clearer shot to be sure. Click on the high res pics Via: Motorpasion
